Delta Air Lines will expand its European schedule in summer 2026 with the launch of new flights from New York to Porto. The US carrier will begin operating a daily transatlantic service between New York’s JFK Airport and Portugal’s second-largest city starting 21 May.

The new route will be served by Boeing 767-300 aircraft, featuring four cabin options: Delta One, Premium Select, Comfort, and Main. It will also mark Delta’s first non-stop service to Porto and one of seven new European routes debuting next year, including flights from New York JFK to Sardinia on 20 May and Malta on 7 June.

Paul Baldoni, Delta’s senior vice president of network planning, said: “Whether exploring Portugal or traveling to our other new destinations like Sardinia and Malta, these additions give customers more choice and strengthen JFK’s position as a premier global gateway.”

In addition, the airline has announced new transatlantic routes from Boston and brought forward launch dates for several seasonal European destinations, further enhancing its summer 2026 schedule.
