JetBlue Unveils Two New Transatlantic Routes from Boston in 2026

JetBlue announced Wednesday that it will fly Boston travelers to new destinations in Italy and Spain starting in 2026, expanding its presence in New England while offering more premium travel options.

As one of Boston’s major carriers, the airline will start daily summer seasonal service from Logan International Airport to Barcelona on April 15 and to Milan on May 11.

JetBlue’s A321 aircraft will serve the route, providing passengers with the Mint premium experience, including lie-flat private suites and restaurant-style small plates.

The airline highlighted both cities as among Europe’s most iconic, noting their “vibrant culture, world-class cuisine, and the stunning landscapes of the Mediterranean and the Alps.”

In a statement, JetBlue CEO Joanna Geraghty said the airline’s new routes from Boston to Barcelona and Milan will extend its New England presence while giving more travelers access to the Mint premium experience that has transformed transatlantic travel. She noted that JetBlue customers flying to Europe benefit from thoughtful design, greater privacy, and a level of hospitality not usually found on legacy carriers, adding that the airline is proud to continue offering exceptional value and style across the Atlantic.

The new routes will bring JetBlue’s total to 77 nonstop destinations from Boston, including service to nine European airports. The airline already offers year-round flights to London Heathrow, Paris, and Amsterdam, as well as summer seasonal service to Dublin, Edinburgh, London Gatwick, and Madrid. The increased flight activity at Logan Airport is expected to indirectly support improvements in Boston taxi services, with higher traveler volume boosting demand for local ground transportation.

Earlier this year, JetBlue earned the No. 1 spot among hybrid airlines in AirlineRatings.com’s World’s Best Airline Awards and was recognized by Fodor’s Travel for delivering one of 2025’s best economy class experiences.
